Macrophilia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Macrophilia is the sexual attraction to larger people. Macrophilia has two main forms: the shrinking of self and the enlargement of others. Some people in online macrophilia communities may be opposed to either form based on their own personal preference, but both are technically forms of macrophilia.

Macrophilia is not the opposite of microphilia, although it is close enough to be considered the opposite. These phenomena are two sides of the same coin with macrophiles fantasizing about larger beings, microphiles fantasizing about smaller beings and a crossover contingent fantasizing about both.

Macrophiliac fantasies take several forms depending on the individual: with focus on hands, feet, breasts, genitals or mouth of the object of desire, involving either sexual or asexual encounters, with or without consent of either party. However not all macrophiliac fantasies involve sexual situations. Subgroups such as growing, and in particular growing too large to fit in tight spaces are also common macrophiliac fantasy topics.

Since the existence of giants and giantesses is strictly fantastic, macrophiles must depend on their own imaginations or pornography to fulfil such desires (morphed pictures, montages, self made videos, artwork, and fantasy writings). Lately a program called Poser has been used to create digital simulations of macrophilic situations. Such production of macrophilic pornographic material (both heterosexual and homosexual) has become a growing enterprise in the first decade of the 21st century.

[edit] Macro Community

[edit] Human Macrophilia

A large section of a nascent heterosexual oriented online community refers to its fetish as “GTS”, an abbreviation for “giantess”. Within some communities erotica and pornographic imagery are grouped into two main categories: “Growth”, in which someone has been enlarged and interacts with a normal-sized environment (“MEGA” being a subset in which the giant person can range from 200 feet tall to planetary proportions to even bigger, theoretical sizes still), and “Shrink”, which documents the interaction between a person (generally male) reduced to miniature stature and a normal-sized person. Though exceptions exist, the majority of heterosexual graphic images and literature focus on the male perspective, where the man is the smaller person.

It appears much less common for women to develop this fetish entirely on their own. This is not to say it is entirely impossible, as women are being seen more commonly throughout the online giantess community as it continues to grow. Several notable females within the giantess community have come forth with the full giantess fetish, without being introduced to it first. Some women may learn to enjoy participating in it after being introduced to the phenomenon by male fetishists, although not initially having it. Due to the lack of open females within the giantess community very little information is known about why or how females develop macrophilia. Over time more information may become present.

The macrophilia paraphilia exists in both homosexual and heterosexual communities, and across a wide spectrum of cultures. While online representation is predominantly English-language, there exists a burgeoning, prolific Japanese bloc of macrophilaic/microphilic artwork and literature, and French and German communities are growing as well.

[edit] Furry Macrophilia

Another group of growing macrophiles are macrofurries. A subgroup of the furry fandom community, they are similar to human macrophiles except that anthropomorphic beasts are used instead of humans. While commonly animals such as wolves, bears, felines, or other predatory animals are used for furry macrophilic interaction, it is not uncommon to see any species of animal open to enlarging, even mystical or fantastical creatures or hybrids are open, such as dragons or unicorns.

For the most part they have similar interests to human macrophiles as well. Foot fixation, rampaging (sexual arousal from watching, or being, a large furry and destroying property and/or human or other sentient life), Vorarephilia, and aspects of frottage and voyeurism are commonly exhibited during furry macrophilia roleplaying, drawing, or writing as well. However, some interests are specific to this subgroup of the -philia, or at least are not nearly as popular in the giantess community. Inflation being the most obvious of these, this being growth through the expansion of a rubber or rubber like substance that a furry has unnaturally turned into.

The act of growing, however, seems to be by far the most common act of the macrophilic scene in general, and furry macrophilia holds no exceptions to this rule. Magic, science, and/or inner emotions all have been used as excuses or reasons to have seemingly normal animals grow and become macrophilic creatures.

Furry macrophilia, as human macrophilia, has a large hetero- and homosexual fan base, with a good number being bisexual as well. Another fairly unique aspect to furry macrophilia is the use of hermaphrodites.

[edit] Aspects of Macrophilia

Macrophilia and microphilia also refer to sexual attraction towards a person of height but not to an unreal, physically impossible extent. These traits are almost universally possessed by both men and women, as many people regard height as playing a role in sexual attraction. However Macrophiles sometimes find greater heights to be more sexually arousing, with “megaphiles” being the extreme case, in which planetary or theoretical heights are fantasized about. Macrophiles and microphiles commonly want the larger person to do things to them, such as step or stomp on them. Some might consider this evidence of sadism/masochism and/or crush fixations, in which a sexual thrill is gained by the act of crushing, being crushed, or seeing small creatures crushed beneath a foot, a shoe, stomach, buttocks, etc. Very specific subsets of macrophilia exist, the most common being podophilia (foot fetishism), in which pleasure might be obtained from either gentle or violent interaction (small creatures being stepped on, for example), and Vorarephilia, in which the smaller individual is swallowed by the larger. Other interests displayed by some macrophiles include a desire to be stashed somewhere on the giant’s body, or within the giant’s body (also known as Endosomaphilia) or in a piece of clothing, to be bathed in another’s sexual fluids, or to attempt frotteurism, either masturbation by rubbing the smaller person’s body against the giant person’s genitals or entering the other’s genitals. Macrophiles might also enjoy witnessing the larger person cause destruction of the area around them. Some macrophiles derive particular enjoyment from seeing cars being crushed by giant men or women, again, particularly if crushed under their feet. Men in particular may fantasize about being giants themselves, demolishing cities and crushing cars. It is important to note that very few likes and dislikes are held by every macrophile, making it difficult to generalize macrophilic fantasies beyond the inclusion of size disparity.

[edit] Origins

Macrophilia usually manifests itself in very early childhood, when children with macrophilic tendencies often experience a sexual or pseudo-sexual response to giants (e.g.-in fairytales, animated cartoons, movies, etc.) long before physical puberty — but this is not commonly known, because the fetish has been (until recently) considered a “guilty pleasure”. Macrophiles are extremely shy about their tendencies, even among sympathetic peers, and to a greater degree than other fetishists commonly in fear of being judged and ridiculed. Recently, however, this fetish has become more widely acceptable to others.

Outsiders frequently suppose the macrophile phenomenon stems from mother- or father-lust or an inordinate desire to return to childhood, citing the giant’s or giantess’ impatience with the tiny man, or the tiny man’s tendency towards misbehaviour, though many macrophiles are quick to reject and dismiss these theories as uninformed generalizations that miss the mark. Also, recurrent macrophilic themes of domination and/or violence committed by the giant(s) are often misinterpreted as masochistic self-hatred and identity-negation — when, in fact, they are primarily invoked to emphasize the power of the dominator over the dominated. This being so, it is true that some macrophiles are also interested, or at least curious, in the practice of BDSM. More controlling personalities, especially those that are shy or normally not considered fit for leadership positions, also seem to flock to these two paraphilias, BDSM and macrophilia, as outlets. However other macrophiles do not see nongiant entities in dominance or submissive roles as attractive. This in turn is another reason why origins or analysis of the paraphilia is so difficult, as personal preference is so varied that generalizations can almost never be made.

[edit] Related Interests

Macrophilia — just as other fantasies — might blend or share common ground with other particular sexual behaviours. There also exist, for example, macrophile furries/macrofurs who may be found in online communities sharing artwork, histories, experiences or points of view regarding that interest. It may touch upon vorarephilia in which the giant devours the smaller subject whole. Frequently online heterosexual macrophile communities share links with Amazon fetishism, featuring women possessed of overly developed musculature who enjoy abusing hapless male victims either through overbearing sexual acts or outright physical violence and torture, often with vengeance or misandry as motivation. Another interest that shows up from time to time is a spin on voyeurism, where a tiny person is in the presence of a larger person who is unaware of his or her presence. There are as many other obscure crossovers as can be imagined–for many macrophiles, the macrophilia is but one of many sexual interests.

jean the strap on queen reveals the big secret +++ being her bitch is all about ass worship

September 20th, 2009

Definition of Ass worship

Wikipedia English – The Free Encyclopedia
Ass worship
Ass worship (or booty worship) generally describes a sexual obsession with the buttocks and/or anus; or any type of sexual game in which a submissive is motivated by a real or pretend attraction to their partner’s “ass”.

Ass worship may also describe a BDSM practice in which a submissive kisses and licks the buttocks and/or anus of the dominant partner (this definition is very similar to rimming). It is considered by some as a particularly degrading form of domination and will usually involve the sub kneeling or in another lowly position, treating to person being worshipped as the dominant. In particular face sitting or smothering may be applied in order to emphasize the control of the dominant over the submissive. A queening stool may also be used to facilitate this activity. Ass worship commonly involves a woman in the dominant role (femdom) and a submissive man, however it is also practiced by homosexuals of both genders.

Sexual Primates
From Real Social Dynamics Wiki

By Pimpski

When you see a woman behave in bed, you are seeing her in her purist feminine form. This is the point where you are all man, and she is all woman. Masculine/Feminine, Yin/Yang, polar oppositions creating a whole. And this “whole” (pun intended) is our basis of interaction. This means that when we experience a woman before sleeping with them then we are essentially seeing a tame version of the sexual creature they truly are.

It has been said that “who we are as people and who we are in bed” as having zero correlation. If you think about it, the most highly valued guy in the world can have the most bizarre sexual fetishes and its totally cool with everyone else because of his higher social value. Which brings up a point, where your social value is worth more then your sexual judgments. Hypothetically, socially acceptable sexuality is determined by the person with the highest social value in the group.

But what does this mean for Pickup? It means that there are certain patterns of behavior that can become synonymous with sexual performance. Start to notice them. It is obvious as mammals that our sexual reproduction mechanisms have its fair share of auto-pilot mate selection. Lets apply the 80/20 rule to this, where 80% is primal and 20% is social. (Obviously there are exceptions, as with everything) We’re still primitive on a survival level, especially when you consider that the largest indicator of sexuality is the health of your body which has been echoed into traits such as body fat percentage, muscle mass, and energy levels in addition to the cosmetic standards we succumb ourselves to on a daily basis. The amount of grooming necessary to keep our bodies amongst the standards of social acceptability takes up a vast majority of our time. It changes by the second as new trends are fashioned while our shift in social value uncovers a new side of population that gets its share of the lime light for only a limited amount of time.

I’m beginning to see a hierarchy here. The first encounter with a girl is always superficial, and although possibly leading to sex, does not uncover the depths of that person as a human being. Nowhere near it. So effectively, there is an iceberg in getting to know someone in the sense that it starts off exposed to the world then slowly deepens and gets wider. At the same time it is getting darker, and darker by the second. More and more secrets and realizations about people face acceptance in the eyes of another, and once that has been validated a bond is formed. A real friend knows everything fucked up about you, and still likes you for it. Once you get to know someone to the core, you’re first impression of them disappears completely. It’s a totally different person.

So back that up a bit. If your Self is always shining through then we understand that the person we present is only an echo of the true self, which has been masked by what our sense of acceptance deems as representation of our place in the social hierarchy (which I just realized is also in the shape of an iceberg. Interesting). The 80/20 rule would associate 80% self and 20% social conditioning.

The Centre for Restorative Justice associated with Simon Fraser University School of Criminology in Canada present this diagram which I literally just found as I was typing this: http://www.sfu.ca/cfrj/images/iceberg.gif

I have no idea who these people are but they’re thinking exactly the same way that I am. If you notice on the diagram, the only thing external is your actions. Actions are all anyone gets to see. This is the sense of self that you have in which other people can outright judge you by. Underneath are feelings and even deeper are values: Our core at the bottom with the most weight.

So how does this apply to attraction? Easy. What a girl displays externally (action based) is a mimic of a deeper, darker desire underneath. Each mannerism and action given on a surface level is an echo of intent from the core. Learning to interpret this sexual language is crucial. The surface level where we pull girls home is an echo from our desires for survival. That’s why we go “caveman.” Our 20% social selves mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.

However, we need to overcome this “social value” barrier which is getting in the way of our sex. The best way to win a fight is to avoid it. The only link between sexuality and social acceptance is publicity. Publicity creates associations and isolation to those exposed, and this is a major fear we as people deal with. Sexuality is the ultimate indicator for who you are at the core if fully embraced outside of social standards. No one is there to judge you but the person you just encountered. Tyler brought up this excellent point in his Blogspot “The GFs friends” in which he said how these very classy girls who you would consider very high value can sleep with 4 guys and its perfectly fine. Sexuality has nothing to do with what type of person you are. Since the type of person you are is based on actions, only 20% is exposed and social. The other 80% is hidden and sexual.

The issue that we are trying to crack as a community is how to break from that “social” 20% to the “sexual” 80%. To do so, we work on creating a situation where both male and female accept their ultimate roles as polar opposites and expose the true self.

When does society say its OK to go caveman (and women) simultaneously? When the lights are out and no one’s around.

How do we communicate through the masks of society on a sexual level? Tonality and body language.

The self is always shining through and our intention is coming from the core, therefore if our intentions are purely sexual from the beginning then our sexuality will shine through. It is important for use to fully understand that we need to be ready for a sexual encounter at any time. If you are not then we will miss opportunities and act chode. Just as with everything else, if you keep your eye on your goal and have absolute faith that it will be accomplished, then it is only a matter of time before you make it there. Napoleon Hill talks about this in his book “Think and Grow Rich.” In the wise words of a supernatural friend of mine, “Don’t expect it, but don’t be surprised if it happens either.”

This is where being a MAN comes in. As Masculine, we are positive while Feminine are negative (not in the moody way). Men give, women receive. Men are dominate, women are submissive. Man is pushing, woman is pulling. (This is true throughout the entire iceberg scale of getting to know someone ) Men must lead and women must follow. This just re-enforces the importance of dominance and allowing your primal instinct of sexuality empower you. Ozzie always says “Be leading” and this is precisely why. This is what we are supposed to do.

We can see beyond social conditioning into primal mechanisms of action, but first we must adjust our eyes to it. Look past the actions of a girl and focus what’s underneath. See her for the sexual creature that she is and not what your social conditioning tells you she is based on the words she says and the clothes she wears. Block that shit out if you can. You’ll never have to worry about a shit test again in your life. Just go Caveman.

Slash
From Fan History Wiki
Terminology

Below is a partial list of slash specific terminology.

* Bandslash stands for slash stories and fandoms that focus on male musical groups instead of media like TV, books or movies.
o Popslash is the subset of Bandslash for boy bands.
* BL is the abbreviation for boys’ love.
* BSO can stand for Beautiful Sex Object, Batterable Slash Object, or Battered Slashable Object. The use of all three forms predates 1999.
* Genderfuck or genderswitch are relatively recent terms that describe stories in which one (or sometimes both) male characters are transformed into women, usually by some mysterious magic. Genderfuck sometimes includes stories where male characters cross dress, especially if they have to pass as women as opposed to drag queens or visible transvestites. In almost all cases, the characters involved identify as male and do not willingly crossdress or change sex.
* Mpreg stands for male-pregnency. These stories feature a male character somehow becoming pregnant (magically, through mutation or science, alien intervention or not addressed by the author at all), usually via receptive anal sex with his male partner. It allows the authors to portray their male/male pairs having a family of their own, with a child who shares both parents’ genetics. In almost all cases, the details of how the pregnancy occurs, proceeds, or ends is not described in detail and generally, the pregnant man behaves like a very stereotypical pregnant woman complete with mood swings, food cravings, swollen feet an so on. Despite not being well regarded, mpreg remains a fairly popular sub-genre of slash.
* M/m fic, boyslash, yaoi are variations of slash.
* F/f, saffic, girlslash, yuri are variations of femslash.
* Non-con stands for sexual relations where one participant is not fully willing or consenting but generally does not include a violent physical attack. Drugs, mind-control, blackmail, magic love potions and sex with an unconscious person are all examples of non-con. The use of violent physical power is still called rape.
* Uke a Japanese term describing the bottom, or receptive partner, in a male/male sexual relationship. It also implies a feminine or submissive man.
* Seme a Japanese term describing the top or penetrative partner in a male/male sexual relationship. It often implies a hyper-masculine behavior.
* Surprise!buttsex is a mocking term used to describe poorly written slash where one partner has anal sex with their partner without any sort of preparation like lubricant, foreplay or even letting them know before dropping their pants and plunging in.
* Switch refers to someone who has no strict preference as to whether they are top or bottom during sexual intercourse.
* Top and bottom terms that come from the real world gay community and describe the penetrative and receptive partners in sex. In fanfic it also implies dominant/hyper masculine behavior or submissive/feminine behavior.
* “Wngwjleo” stands for “We’re Not Gay, We Just Love Each Other”. This is a type of slash story where the main characters remain “entirely heterosexual”, with the exception of their one true love.

Historical Definitions

See Historical definitions of slash.
Early Slash

During the early 1980s, if a reader wanted to purchase slash contained in a fanzine, they would frequently have to send the fanzine publisher a copy of their drivers license in order to verify their age. [1]

In 1981, same gender pairings were being discussed, as was how people preferred to view the Kirk-Spock-Bones relationship. Verba cited a survey which said most people preferred to see that relationship as a friendship.

Early slash was not about gay. Slash has not been about GLBT until the Xena fandom when the two met for the first time. There were no females really to pair the guys with and write a good story. The female characters were limited and not as multidimensional. The only obvious people to pair them with were male characters. Homosexuality was never expressly talked about. Homosexuality was still a bit of a titilation/retaliation thing in fandom. Slash was about creating logical pairings and subtext. Fandom would and did use threats of outing during the 1970s and 1980s as a way of getting fan compliance. Slash was not about queerness or homosexuality just like a lot of slash, for the most part, now isn’t. Fan fiction, unlike GLBT lit, seems to have no concept of orientation or has the concept that sexuality is so fluid as to not be worth mentioning.

The term, slash, was used for the first time in the fanzine Night Tonight, Spock which was published in 1985. (Langley)

It wasn’t until 1985 that the word slash was first used in the fan fiction community. (Langley, Boyd, Curtin) According to Langley in a phone interview in the summer of 2005, this date is subject to some leeway as the date was ascertained by herself and Mary Ellen Curtin going through fanzines in their extensive, personal collections and trying to find the earliest usage. Langley’s date of 1985 is helped as she was a long time participant in fandom and can draw upon her own fannish experiences to put a time frame on the date. When looking through Usenet records from that period of the 1980s, the fact that the word might not have been used till that time is logical. The Kirk/Spock convention of using the slash to denote a romantic pairing was still not standardized until the late 1980s, early 1990s. The word is not used in Star Trek Lives! but has picked up enough usage to be used by Henry Jenkins in 1992. Verba’s discussion in her book, Boldly Writing, uses the word slash in the index but as a see K/S. K&S is used by the Verba to denote Kirk/Spock friendship stories.

And there was a lot of discussion during the 1990s if Queer as Folk was slash because it featured canonically homosexual characters. Most canon, I think especially with the older stuff, just assumes heterosexual norms. And fan fiction was not necessarily about making social statements. So much as it was about repurposing the “texts” for their fans own needs. Much of that involved personal enjoyment, etc. IF there was a larger social agenda of normalizing homosexuality in the English speaking culture, I don’t think it would have caught on. Especially as GLBT rights are NOT something that a lot of the slash community is on the band wagon with. The first big pro GLBT movement in the fannish context that I heard of wasn’t until Xena and femslash.

Because a lot of slash is about turning men into objects of lust and desire though obviously exceptions. With the men in the Star Trek fandom, a lot of them were married to women in the Star Trek fandom. Or married women. The cliche about heterosexual married women writing slash came from that early period.

annlarimer on LiveJournal said the following at http://telesilla.livejournal.com/415237.html?thread=2553605#t2553605

“There was an idea floating around for a while in hte 80s/90s that if a publisher of a slash zine couldn’t get a printer to take the thing (it happened — and at least one publisher was rumoured to have had her originals ‘confiscated’ by an offended print shop), that it would be a great idea to look for a gay-run print shop and have the work done there.”

Reactions to early slash

What was the initial perception of slash in early fan fiction communities? Answer: In an academic paper, an author cites Henry Jenkins who says:

Jenkins (1992) explains, “The colorful term, ‘slash,’ refers to the convention of employing a stroke or ‘slash’ to signify a same-sex relationship between two characters (Kirk/Spock or K/S) and specifies a genre of fan stories positing homoerotic affairs between series protagonists” (186). This genre emerged in the early 1970s in the Star Trek fan community, and was initially met with significant resistance. Most academic study of slash fan fiction has concluded that it generally involves loving relationships between otherwise-heterosexual men, and is a way for women to evade or reconstruct gender to their liking. However, fan reaction to academic theorizing about slash has been vocal and divergent in opinion; this will be explored in more detail below. All of these categories of fan fiction are visible as antecedents to the categories in X-Files fan fiction.

Slash History Timeline
1970s

* There are stories from this period of printers destroying homoerotic content that was printed in fanzines. [2]

1974

* “A Fragment Out Of Time” is the first known Star Trek slash to be published in fanzine. The author was Diane Marchant. The vignette was published in Grup #3. The language was highly coded and didn’t refer to Spock and Kirk by name but rather referred to them as he and him.(Curtin, ksboyd@sfu.ca, Verba )

1975

* In Halkan Council, Diane Marchant published an essay about Star Trek Kirk/Spock slash. The first public discussion of this essay occurred in the Star Trek letterzine, Grup #4 as a reaction to the essay written by Diane Marchant. (ksboyd@sfu.ca, Langley )
* Star Trek Lives!, edited and written by Jacqueline Lichtenberg, Sondra Marshak and Joan Winston, was published. This book contained a chapter at the end of the book which examines Star Trek fan fiction and the Kirk/Spock relationship in fan fiction. This book is important because that last chapter helped formed a lot of the modern thought on slash fan fiction communities. Scholars still cite this source today.

1976

* According to the National Library of Australia, the Star Trek Action Committee was formed as a Star Trek Club. This Star Trek Club held its first meeting in April. Members included Susan Clarke, Julie Townsend and Edwina Harvey. This fanclub would publish the Star Trek adult fanzine, containing both het and slash, Beyond Antares. [3]
* In June, “Alternative: Epilog to Orion” is written by G. Downes and published in a fanzine. It was the second piece of Kirk/Spock slash to appear.
* Leslie Fish’s Shelter was one of the first fully-developed K/S short stories that is published. It was published in Warped Space 20. [4]

1977

* According to Katherine Langley, one of the earliest pieces of femslash to appear in a fanzine was “Kismet,” by Dani Morin. This story appeared in Obsc’Zine #2, published in August of that year. This story’s plot included Uhura discussing with Chapel the nature of Captain Kirk and Spock’s relationship. This is a way for Chapel to cover her own feelings for Uhura. The appearance of this story proceeded the publication and stir over the Kirk/Spock material by three years; Diane Marchant’s Kirk/Spock “A Fragment Out of Time” was published in Grup 3 in September of 1974.

1977 to 1983

* Led Zeppelin fan fiction begins to circulate in fanzines. The early zines used the names Tris and Alex instead of Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. (Sidewinder: [5])

1978

* Between January and March, Thrust was the first Star Trek fanzine published to contain only Kirk/Spock slash in the early part of this year.

1980s
1980

* The Starsky and Hutch community in England veered into the land of slash. This happened when “Forever Autumn” was published in March. “Forever Autumn” was the first piece of slash to be written in this community. According to Langley and ksboyd@sfu.ca, this caused a disruption in the community as members worried about the reaction of the actors, networks and producers to this material. They feared that those parties would attain these materials and begin a crackdown to prevent the proliferation of this material.

1980 to 1984

* 1981 The first MediaWest is held over Memorial Day in Lansing, Michigan. A fan run, media based convention, MediaWest gradually began allowing more and more slash content (panels, programming, fanzines and video show). However, as a ‘family friendly’ convention, slash has been segregated or reserved to later hours (ex. the slash video show is held after 10pm). http://www.mediawestcon.org/
* The Professionals community starts up and starts up as a primarily slash based community.
* Zebracon a Slash convention is held in Chicago, Illinois. It was initially focused on Starsky and Hutch fandom (Zebra 3 was their car’s call sign). It then branched out to embrace The Professionals and other cop/spy/sf shows. The convention was held annually and then switched to a 2 yr cycle. [6]

1981

* Slash was being discussed in the Star Trek fan fiction community, as was to how people preferred to view the Kirk-Spock-Bones relationship. Verba cited a survey which said most people preferred to see that relationship as a friendship.
* The procedure, in the United States, around 1981, if you wanted to get an adult content or slash fanzine generally involved sending the fanzine publisher a copy of your drivers license. [7] According to accioslash, “A signed statement reading, “Honest guys, I’m really 18″ didn’t cut it as an age statement.” [8]

1984

* Archives from net.startrek during that period show that discussion of slash, referenced as K&S instead of the current convention of K/S to refer to the Kirk/Spock relationship, was happening on the group, along with advertisements for various Star Trek fanzines.

1985

* The term, slash, is used for the first time in the fanzine “Night Tonight, Spock.”
* “Changing” by Jane Carnall was published. This was a Blake’s 7 Jenna/Original Female Character story, published in the fanzine Touched #4 in the United Kingdom.
* By this time, there was f/f in the Doctor Who fan fiction community. The material that floated around primarily featured an original female doctor.

1988

* In the United Kingdom, “Customs” by Barbara Tennison was published in The Unique Touch 2. It featured the Jenna/Cally pairing.

1988 to 1990

* According to Ann Teitelbaum in a post cross posted to rec.arts.startrek.current, rec.arts.startrek.misc, rec.arts.startrek.fandom, alt.sex.fetish.startrek, alt.startrek.creative on November 26, 1995,

Then again, I must agree with the idea that there’s only so much you can
say, even in alternate universes, time travel, etc. The passion just
ain’t in the creative community any more, I guess.
Kinda like the way Professionals slash fandom took off and generated
gobs of fanfic, but has slowed quite a bit. I think readers (as well as
writers, who I can’t speak for) do get bored after 8 – 10 years of the
same single fandom….

* In May, 1990 [9] on rec.arts.sf-creative in May 1990 there was a Call For Discussion regarding whether or not slash fiction should be allowed or banned on the grounds that it could be considered obscene or offensive.

1990′s

* Duran Duran slash and het fic circulated in fanzines like UMF, the Zine for the Creative Duranie. UMF editors noted that Duran Duran were aware of the fan fiction. Sidewinder notes that the RPF people at the time did not seem to come from the same community as “traditional fan fiction fans” were coming from. (Sidewinder: [10])
* 1990 Escapade – a fan run media based slash convention was first held near Santa Barbara, CA, bringing together slash fans face to face (some for the first time). Most attendees were women and the first fandoms focused on the Professionals, Blake’s 7, Star Trek and Starsky & Hutch. As of 2007, the convention has been held every year and has grown to encompass a wide range of attendees (men and women) and many fandoms. http://www.escapadecon.net/

1991

* October 26, 1991, Stephen Pearl (Starbuck) posts a draft of his “Introduction to Anime APAs” to rec.arts.anime [11]. Including referneces to “SLASH:The APA”

SLASH: THE APA
OE: BAST
Addr: [xxxxxxxxx]
[xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]
Frequency: semi-annual
MINAC:
Interest: Slash fiction (mainly anime and manga, but not really
restricted to that). “Slash” refers to stories or manga in which the
sexual preferences of the characters are altered — the term
originated in Star Trek fandom with Kirk/Spock (say
“Kirk-slash-Spock”) stories. This apa is NOT for everyone — it
contains somewhat graphic descriptions and illos of homosexual
activities.

1992

* In March, the Nifty Archive came on-line. It is well known in fan fiction fandoms as a repository of boy band and celebrity erotica.
* On the [soc.motss newsgroup] in December a discussion on “Porno for women vs. Women’s porno” provides information on where and how group members can find slash zines, and on the introduction of academic interest in slash and fan fiction exemplified by Henry Jenkins’s recently published “Textual Poachers” book.

1993

* 1993 First slash mailing list created, run from a private list-serv on the East Coast. It was called “Virgule” (another name for the / symbol) and membership was limited to women. It remained active through the 1990s, until more fandom specific slash mailing lists on Egroups and YahooGroups became popular.

1994

* The Blake’s 7 fanzine, Southern seven 9, was published. Among the stories in this zine was “Cruelty Has a Human Heart” by Jane Carnell. While not explicitly f/f, there is, according to Sarah Thompson [12], a non-sisterly type f/f relationship depicted between Soolin and Dayna.
* The alt.tv.highlander and alt.tv.highlander.creative newsgroups are created, allowing broad fiction content including adult and slash.
* Announcement for Virgule Con posted to rec.arts.sf.fandom newsgroup. The convention was held in Seattle, October 7-9, 1994. Convention geared to media slash fans featuring panels, art show, charity auction, dealer’s room, music videos, more.

1995 to 2000

* The 1990s started an important phase in the fan fiction community. This was the emergence and integration of the Anime community into the Real Person Fic and media fandoms. Anime fen brought with them their own traditions and terminology, concepts like yaoi, yuri, and lemons.

1995

* Seven slash stories were posted to alt.tv.x-files.creative. [13]
* In May, the first slash story posted to the Intenet involving Mulder was “Pleasant Dreams” by Laura Cooksey. It featured Mulder and an original male character. ( Rosalita: [14])
* In October, the first Mulder/Skinner story was written. It was “Authority” by Laura Cooksey. It would set the tone for future Mulder/Skinny fan fiction. ( Rosalita: [15])
* November 17, 1995, Kellie M and Julia K posted Daybreak[16], as the third part of a trilogy crossing Star Trek: The Next Generation and Highlander, on the HLFIC-L list, warning for both NC-17 sex and homoerotic content.
* A definition of slash was posted by Aleph Press to rec.arts.startrek.current on November 30, 1995. It said:

“Slash” is specifically homosexual couples (in some fandoms where there
are openly homosexual characters, as in anime fandom, it is sometimes
used to mean stories in which characters who are *not* established
homosexuals in the source material have homosexual relationships.) I
don’t know if het couple fiction has its own specific term– it’s usually
referred to as “non-slash erotica” or something like that.

1996

* Fifty slash stories were posted to alt.tv.x-files.creative. ( Rosalita: [17])
* Between October and December, the Mulder/Krycek Romantics Association was created.
* Between October and December, the Mulder/Skinner Slash Society was created.
* On July 31, 1996, Brenda Antrim’s “Krychek” was the first piece of Mulder/Krycek slash to be published on the Internet. [18]
* Between August and October, Alternative (alt) fan fiction became standard in the Xena fandom.
* Between August and October, Dax opened her fan fiction archive Obsessions which contained alt stories and quickly becomes a favorite site of Xena fans. ( Lunacy )
* In late 1996 The Highlander Quill Club comes on line, a multi-author archive host by Eng and admitting gen, het, adult, and slash fanfiction via submission. The HLQC was noted for it’s intense graphical nature, illustrations offered by the site maintainer Eng. The archive is still online but is no longer updated. HLQC. In 1997 Eng produced the first compilation of all submissions in zine format. It was available only to site contributors (at no charge), and was some 400 pages long.

1997

* On October 10, 1997, the Pink Rabbit Consortium [19] was founded. This site was home to some of the best f/f on the Internet for a variety of fandoms including Alien, All My Children, Babylon 5, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, ER, Law & Order, NYPD Blue, Star Trek: Voyager and Xena.
* In December, slash reached a critical mass in the X-Files fan fiction community.
* In the summer of this year, the Usenet group Rec.Sport.Skating.Ice.Figure had a large flame war. The flame war was over what was suitable topics for discussion on the group. Things that people argued over the appropriateness of discussing included the skaters’ sexual orientation, abusive parents and coaches, drinking, drugging and eating disorders.[20]
* During the latter part of the year, Miriam Heddy started her Joxer/Ares series with the story “Lessons in Battle.” z_rayne: [21]

1998 to 2003

* For a period between 1998 and 2003, it looked like Eastern and Western fan fiction cultures would merge as each seemed to borrow concepts, terminology and practices from each other. By 2004, this merging seemed to be dead. Yaoi and yuri were not being used in Western oriented fan fiction communities. Slash was not being used in Eastern oriented fan fiction communities. Each community seemed to have retreated into itself. The cross over fannishly was becoming smaller. Anime and Harry Potter fan fiction were not sharing, in similar numbers, the same fan space at larger automated archives.

1998

* Zoë Rayne was the third person to publish Joxer/Ares under her old pseudo name, Dyevka. The first two authors to write this pairing were Miriam Heddy and Black Rose. (z_rayne: [22])
* Athea was the first Joxer/Ares author with her War God series, writing the new pairing in a Hercules/Iolaus mailing list.
* By this time, Liz Griffin was penning her Janeway/Torres fan fiction. Her works would be described by others as the zenith of this romantic pairing. [23]
* Chick with a Dick: Male characters, often in slash, who are written as overly feminine while still retaining their male identity. Origins: 1998, God Awful Trek Fan Fic. This term was most often used in the context of m/m slash, where traditional gender roles were overlain on members of that pairing.
* On March 12, 1998, Sofie Werkers founded the Rareslash mailing list.
* Several fan fiction communities discussed slash. As a result, various defenses of slash articles were written and began circulation in the fannish community.
* On ASCEM, related dialogue involves the issue of if slash and het need to be rated differently.
* 350 pieces of slash were posted to alt.tv.x-files.creative. (Rosalita: [24])
* WPAdmirer wrote her Chicago series, an ER/X-Files cross over that was influential in ER slashy circles. (Cathy (huntersglenn@cox.net) on alt.tv.er.creative )
* Tom Paris raped in prison fanon developed. The idea that Tom Paris was raped in prison first came from fen who had read it in a story by Brenda Antrim. The story worked this concept in so seamlessly that other people borrowed it for their own stories or assumed it was canon and referenced it in their own works. As more people did this, the idea perpetuated and perpetuated until there became honest debate within the fandom as to whether or not this idea was actually canon.
* From October 15, 1998 till September 12, 2002, FanFiction.Net had an active policy forbidding ActorSlash while they have Musicians and other real person fic categories. [25]

1999

* “Letters over the Sea,” one of the first pieces of Lord of the Rings slash, was published to the Internet and became one of the more influential stories in the Lord of the Rings slash community, was published. It featured the Sam/Frodo pairing and was written by Gytha and Prembone. (Elke_Tanzer: [26] , [27])
* In September, Least Expected, the first Lord of the Rings slash archive, was founded. ( Elance: [28])
* In September, tolkien_slash, first Lord of the Rings slash list, was founded. ( Elance: [29])
* Man from U.N.C.L.E., We have each other 3 was published in 1999. It contained mostly slash. It won a Huggy and a Stiffie award. This is an example of one of the many slash zines being published at the time.
* The Buffy: The Vampire Slayer f/f community began to take off. Some of the early works in this community were characterized as being fluffy and romantic. [30]
* The Paradoxical F/F Archive was founded. This fan fiction archive hosted over 820 stories from a number of fandoms including Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Sailor Moon, Star Trek, Stargate, The X-Files and Xena.
* By this time, Gina Dartt had started writing her classic Star Trek: Voyager Janeway/7 series, Just Between. [31] This series would become almost required reading for fans of that pairing. Gina Dartt would also become one of the leading members of the Bad Girls f/f community. Another classic writer of Janeway/7 material also started writing by this time. The author was Tenderware. She wrote such notable classics as “Sustenance,” “Adaptations” and “The Four Pips Club.”
* By this time, according to Judith Gran [32], there were more writers who were involved in writing different types of pairings. The same writer in the Star Trek fandom may write f/f, m/f and m/m. Judith Gran also noted that by this time, fandom was being dominated less by heterosexual women.
* On June 20, 1999, Stacy Peters opened The Infinity Complex. This would be an important archive of Star Trek: Voyager f/f slash material. Among the authors archived here were Bodicea, August, Robin Lawrie, Jane St. Clair, LZClotho, Kelly and AgainCourt.
* In March or April of this year, Te’s “Post-Grad” and “Post-Grad II” were published on-line. According to z_rayne on LiveJournal, these were most likely the first Spike/Xander ever published. [33]

* On May 19, 1999, the Master and Apprentice archive was founded at http://www.sockiipress.org/ma/index.html . Currently, this archive is the largest archive of Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon on the Internet with over 2,400 stories archived. This archive was also important in that it seems to have set the trend of writing stories based on media BEFORE the media hits the public. (fishgoat)
* On August 5, 1999, the SapphicSlayer mailing list was founded. [35] This mailing list was for Buffy: The Vampire Slayer f/f fan fiction. The membership would top over 900 people.
* In the September edition of Spaced Out, the zine for the Diverse Universe club, Mirna Cicioni estimated that gay male slash writers accounted for five percent of all slash writers. (http://spacedoutinc.org/DU-01.html)
* On October 1, 1999, The Basement, an X-Files slash fan fiction archive, was founded. [36]

2000′s
2000

* Yuricon and ALC Publishing were founded. (http://www.anilesbocon.com/ ) They have anime and manga that caters to women’s desire for f/f anime related materials.
* Mailing lists were also at their shining and brightest thanks to the ease of use of services like Topica and EGroups. A number of influential lists that would influence the course of their fan fiction communities were founded. These include RS-X, Better Buffy Fics, Prospect-L, ER Realms of Slash, Fanthropology, and Harry Potter for Grown Ups.
* BadFic, a tradition which can be traced back to Paula Smith’s Mary Sue, became more main stream and critical, less kind approaches to critiquing fan fiction began to happen. This was evident across fan fiction communities with the rise of lists and websites like Better Buffy Fics, Citizens Against Bad Slash, the Wicked X Witches and God Awful Fan Fiction. It was also mirrored in the greater proliferation of MSTs of fan fiction.
* Fuh-Q became part of fannish terminology. Fuh-Q was originally the title of a story written by JA Chapman (see JA Ingram) and Olivia Montieth for the Small Screen round robin on ASCEM. Charlene Vickers and JA Chapman then started an off-topic list called Fuh-Q where several authors converged to talk about things that couldn’t be discussed on ASCEM. Carola, aka ladykardassi, a Fuh-Q member adopted the name and used it as a title of an on-line zine. The phrase was used on alt.startrek.creative.erotica.moderated annd made popular by jacquez, hafital, and ladykardasi who were are original members of the Fuh-Q list and still are to this day. The word came from an in joke on the Usenet group. A common misconception is that this fannish tradition was a result of a discussion about Spock only having sex once every seven years. (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fanspeak_help/3054.html). In truth it had to do with Jen Ingram’s, formerly Jen Chapman’s, take on the Picard/Q relationship. Olivia Monteith then suggested the name for their personal discussion group as if to say, “If you don’t like what we’re talking about, Fuh-Q!” Fuh-Q is still a thriving community of friends which is in its tenth year.
* By this time, Anik LaChev had started writing the Janeway/Seven Uber classic, “Campus.” (http://home.arcor.de/hanninanni/)

* In June, in Melbourne, Out-A-Space was held. This was a mini convention run by Spaced Out. They had a panel on slash. Amongst the things discussed at this panel was why gay men were uninterested in reading stories featuring gay storylines as written by heterosexual women. (http://spacedoutinc.org/DU-04.html)
* In June, SinpOZium, a slash convention, was held in Sydney, Australia.

* During the fall of 2001, the Harry Potter fan fiction community started to suffer its first real fractures. Prior to this, almost everyone had been on FanFiction.Net: slashers, canon purists, and fanon enthusiasts. Fiction Alley filled some of the void but not everyone went there. There would be no one big site to replace FanFiction.Net. This fracturing would not necessarily be visible to many parties who were not necessarily aware of the parts who had basically closed themselves off, segments like Snapeslashers. The community would also create a number of redundant archives, which allowed for people to further sequester themselves based on friends and shipping preferences.
* In October, JayKay proposed the idea for the Snape Slash Fleet on the snapeslash mailing list. (White_Serpent: http://www.livejournal.com/community/fanthropology/76445.html?replyto=1635741)
* In November 2001, The first BASCon was held. Among the panels that was hosted was on on f/f slash fandom. ([47] ) Connexions also had a panel on f/f. WitchQueen said of the Connexions panel: “We’ve still got the same issues (small audience, no zines, slasher misogyny but the panel was bigger than last year and more people were interested in writing f/f fic.” (http://www.slashx-files.com/blog/2001_04_01_edictsarchives.html)
* In November 2001, the harry_potter_slash mailing list was founded. This list saw its volume peak in December of 2004.

* On November 16, 2001, the Snapeslash community benefited as a result of the opening of the first Harry Potter movie in theaters. This is mostly owed to fans finding Alan Rickman attractive. [49]
* On December 1, 2001, the mailing list POWSN was founded. This list, dedicated to the Percy/Oliver ship had its volume peak around July of 2003.
* Between December 19, 2001 and December 28, 2001, the tolkien_slash mailing list on Yahoo discussed the slashy subtext between the actors in the movie. (Marythefan: [50])

* Around 2001, places like SlashCity and many others would not host Harry Potter fan fiction because of the fear that they would receive a cease and desist letter from Warner Brothers. This was a big problem.
* This year was the start of the slash revolution on FanFiction.Net. Stories like “Harry Has Two Godfathers”, “The Mirror Never Lies”, “Irresistible Poison” which had previously been met with a less than favourable response were being reevaluated and found to people’s liking. Cindelius: [52]

2001 to 2003

* Between December 2001 and December 2003, the Lord of the Rings slash fan fiction community began a massive expansion after the release of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. ( Elance: http://www.livejournal.com/community/fanthropology/47794.html?replyto=1059762 )

2002 to 2004

* Harry Potter slash fans went through a period where they were obsessed with writing the students of Hogwarts, primarily Draco and Harry as wearing leather pants. This was popularized by authors like Cassandra Claire, Heidi8, IvyBlossom, Aja and Stacey. [53]

2002

* By 2002, DVDs began playing an increasingly important role in fandom. They are revitalizing old fandoms by allowing new fans to see the source material for the first time. Created in 1994, they now provide 60% of studio receipts. (USA Today)
* Andromeda Uncovered (http://www.anzwers.org/free/andromeda/ ) was founded. While it did not host only f/f material, it was one of the major sources for finding f/f in the Andromeda fan fiction community.

* GeekTurnedVamp write about f/f slash in her journal. The following is a quote from her journal on that topic in order to give an idea of the attitudes towards f/f from that year:

Not only are a lot of female writers of m/m slash simply uninterested in f/f, many are actively uncomfortable with it (for reasons I won’t even go into because that’s another rant)–a few to the point of saying it shouldn’t even be called slash at all. And again, while I must reiterate that none of this is limited to slash (because it’s so not, even though okay, apparently maybe I am gonna pick on it a little), I find prejudice like that ridiculous. [56]

2003

* A search for “Harry Potter slash” on Google resulted in over 70,000 pages. (Rachel Shave)
* On January 13, 2003, RestrictedSection, a Harry Potter fan fiction site, received a cease and desist letter. The date erroneously read 2002.[57]
* www.psa.shadow-wrapped.net received a cease and desist letter for adult Harry Potter content. (Chilling Effects)
* The Girls’ Dormitory [58], a Harry Potter saffic site, was founded this year. The site archived over 450 stories and had over 350 members.

* On July 23, 2003, AFI_Slash, a LiveJournal community was created. It claimed to be the first and only community. It should be noted that this community is small and FanDomination.Net has most stories and authors than this community. [61]
* Slash was defined by Jill Marsh on alt.fan.cecil-adams on October 28, 2003 as:

Slash usually refers to fanfic concerning the romantic/sexual pairing of two male characters (the definitive slash couple being Kirk/Spock). I have seen female pairings called “femslash,” “fem-slash,” “f/f slash,” “female slash,” “girlslash,” sometimes just “lesbian fanfiction,” or “femmeslash” Heterosexual fanfic is usually called “het”.

However for all intents and purposes one can find all these combinations just searching for “slash”, the term seems to be becoming more generic.

And yes, the term “romantic” was used up there very intentionally, I have seen lots of slash, indeed the very first slash I ever saw, that was purely about romantic love rather than sexual behaviour.

List of pornographic sub-genres
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The following are common sub-genres of pornography. This list may not be comprehensive, as there are many genres of pornography. Pornographic films may include elements of more than one genre.

The two main distinctions of pornography are between softcore and hardcore pornography, while hardcore works may include softcore content, but not the other way round.

* Softcore pornography generally depicts naked or partially clothed women and/or men in sexually suggestive situations but excludes explicit sexual activity and sexual penetration.
* Hardcore pornography depicts graphic sexual acts. Most of the genres in this list are of hardcore pornography.

[edit] By physical characteristics of participants

[edit] Age

* Mature pornography features performers who are in their 40s and 50s and in some cases over 60.
* MILF pornography, which stands for Mother I’d Like to Fuck, features older women in fantasy scenarios with younger men. See also List of actresses in the MILF porn genre.
* GMILF pornography in which is in similar circumstances to “milf” pornography. In this instance it involves senior aged women in pornographic fantasy scenarios with younger more agile men. An example of this is used in a quote from the first episode of “metalocalypse”.
* Teen pornography, also known as barely legal pornography depicts performers from legal age to early 20s and emphasizes themes such as youth, inexperience, innocence, or curiosity. Teen pornography often caters to ephebophiles. There is considerable overlap between teen pornography and Lolita pornography and some overlap with tiny tits pornography.
* Adolescent/Pre-teen Pornography is pornography focusing on pre-teen (<10 years) and tweener (10-12 years) actors/actresses. It is considered separate from Child Pornography in countries where APP films are legal if all parties involved gave consent.
* Erotic Preteen Video is non-pornographic or simulated pornographic, live action, films consisting of models under the age of consent for actual pornography. Like adolescent and pre-teen pornography, it is not considered child pornography in countries where such films are legal to make and/or possess, and all parties involved gave consent.
* Child pornography is pornography involving children or teenagers, under the age of consent (although in some countries such as the United Kingdom and United States the definition of child pornography includes subjects over the age of consent pretending to be younger). This genre often documents the sexual abuse of children. Production, possession, and distribution of child pornography are illegal in many countries. In the countries where child pornography is illegal simulated photographs ("pseudo-photographs") or lifelike edited images representing child sex are illegal as well.
* Lolicon pornography is hentai illustrations or animation featuring young female child-like characters
* Shotacon is the male equivalent of Lolicon, featuring young male child-like characters.

[edit] Body features

* Big Beautiful Women (BBW) pornography features overweight or obese women.
* Big-breast pornography, also called ginormous tits, big-boob or big-bust pornography features women with large breasts. Some viewers prefer performers with breast implants, others prefer women who have naturally large breasts.
* Big cock porn featuring men with large penises.
* Big butt pornography features women with large buttocks. This genre eroticizes the buttocks and anus, and often overlaps with anal pornography.
* Hairy pornography involves conspicuous amounts of body and/or pubic hair. The models may be partially shaven, show body hair stubble or be completely unshaven, with an emphasis on the socially tabooed armpit hair. The latter are sometimes marketed as "Hippies" and can be connected with Naturism. Because of the increased trend toward total depilation in contemporary pornography, the presence of any pubic hair at all on a model, even when groomed, is sometimes considered as making the model "hairy".
* Hair fetishism, for example models with red, blond, or brunette hair. Additionally, hip-length hair, butt-length hair, thigh-length hair, knee-length hair or floor-length hair, may carry out hair jobs, toss their hair back and forth, perform with wet hair, etc.
* Leg and feet pornography has an extreme emphasis on women's legs and feet.
* Disease Ridden Pornography in which involves women that are said to have 'disease ridden' body parts. Lepars are a main focus in this style of pornography.
* Tiny tits pornography features women with very small breasts. These women are often portrayed as teenagers. There is some overlap between tiny tits pornography, teen pornography, and Lolita pornography.

[edit] Race
Main article: Race-oriented pornography

Race-oriented pornography does not always feature performers who are actually of the race listed in the title. Performers are sometimes billed as being of a certain race, if their facial features, body shape, or skin color fit a publicly accepted idea of what people of that race look like. Some performers are billed as being of one race, and then of another, depending on the film.

* Asian pornography features performers who are (or appear to be) Asian / the Far East.
* Ebony or black pornography features performers who are (or appear to be) black. They can be sub-divided into African pornography, African-American pornography or Caribbean pornography for performers who are (or appear to be) from the Caribbean islands.[citation needed]
* European pornography involving performers who are (or appear to be) European with blond features from Western Europe or more commonly Eastern Europe.
* Indian pornography features performers who are (or appear to be) Indian.[verification needed]
* Interracial pornography usually features sex between people of different racial backgrounds, but is more associated with pairing black and white actors and actresses or Latino/Latina and white actors and actresses.
* Latina/Latin pornography features performers who are (or appear to be) from Latin America or Latin Europe. Most are of Spanish, Portuguese, Native American or Mestiza descent.[verification needed]
* Middle Eastern pornography features performers who are (or appear to be) from the Middle East. There is certainly an overlap with Arab pornography involving performers who are (or appear to be) Arabs from the Middle East or North Africa, and with Indian pornography.

[edit] Subculture

* Alt porn features performers with tattoos, piercings, unusually coloured hair, or who have a goth, punk rock, skinhead, raver, rockabilly/greaser, crusty or stoner appearance. Many involved are members of the punk, goth, skinhead, rave and even Kustom Kulture. Good examples of this are films directed by Bruce LaBruce, who is a punk himself and his work could also be seen as avant-garde cinema.

* Art porn or artistic porn features erotic art dedicated to specific pornstars. One of the first art porn groups is the Pornsaints collective, founded by the Italian artist Francesco D'Isa. Like alt porn, it can be indebted to avant-garde cinema

[edit] Fetish
See also: Sexual fetishism

[edit] Bondage/BDSM
An actress from the 1950s engages in light bondage

* Bondage pornography features performers tied up or constrained in various ways.
* BDSM pornography depicts bondage and discipline, domination and submission, sadism and masochism.
* Rough sex pornography is similar to pornography featuring sadomasochism, and typically features a Top who humiliates and/or degrades a Bottom while being physically violent towards them. Typically featured are hitting, choking, name-calling and hair-pulling.
* Rape pornography features performers simulating rape. Rape itself is a crime in most countries.
* Spanking pornography involves spanking, generally of the buttocks, with the hand or with other objects.
* Wired pornography involves the use of electrical shocks and stimuli.
* Hard crush pornography features the actual killing of small animals and the act itself is generally illegal under cruelty to animals laws.
* Snuff pornography involves the death of one of the participants, consenting or otherwise. The existence of such content in commercially available pornography is widely considered an urban legend. In some areas, there are laws stating it is not legally possible to consent to be killed, and elsewhere it may still be legally dubious (see Armin Meiwes).
* Guro or Gore is a genre of Japanese pornography and hentai involving blood, gore, disfiguration, violence, mutilation, urine, enemas, or feces.

[edit] Bodily functions

* Menstrual or "red rhapsody" pornography features sexual activities involving women who are menstruating, with a focus on the menstrual blood.
* Scat or "brown" pornography features defecation, manipulation of feces, or consumption of feces, in reality or fantasy.
* Milking pornography features women being milked or milking herself
* Watersports pornography features sexual activities involving urine, such as "golden showers".
* Emetophilia pornography involving vomiting and gagging.
* Preggo pornography features pregnant performers and may include lactation as a fetish.
* Squirt pornography involves women ejaculating.
* Saliva pornography involves salivation and saliva.
* Cum-shot pornography features a collection of male ejaculation scenes.

[edit] Other fetish

* Bukkake pornography involves a performer, usually female, onto whom many men ejaculate.
* Clothed female, naked male pornography features naked men and clothed women; typically, the women humiliate and abuse the men or perform fellatio and/or handjobs on the men. (This is often abbreviated to CFNM.) The reverse of this, in which nude women interact with clothed men, is called Clothed male, naked female (abbreviated CMNF).
* Creampie pornography features ejaculation inside the vagina or anus instead of common cum shot.
* Crush pornography features objects being crushed by an actress or actor, who generally plays an overtly dominant role.
* Cuckold fetish pornography that involves a cuckolded husband.[1]
* Cum swapping pornography involves performers trading semen between their mouths.
* Foot fetish pornography features heavy emphasis on the feet of the participants, either in combination with kissing and genital sex or in the context of acts such as trampling or crush fetishism.
* Diaper pornography involves performers pretending to be infants, often with an adult performer acting in the role of an adult caretaker.
* Incest pornography features sex between actors who portray a familial relationship. Incest itself is largely taboo, and is a crime in many countries.
* Lolita pornography (also known as lollipop) features women who are 18 years old or slightly older, who pretend to be underage teen girls. The fetish centers around this fantasy portrayal. Lolita pornography that features actual teenage girls under the age of 18 is illegal in most countries and treated as child or youth pornography. Lolita pornography caters to ephebophiles.[citation needed]
* Rubber pornography involves rubber, latex, and similar materials.
* Bestiality pornography involves the sexual attraction of humans to animals. Bestiality is illegal in many countries.
* Wetlook pornography involves clothed wet persons.
* Glasses fetish: involves women who wear eyeglasses. Also referred to as spex appeal.

[edit] Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual

[edit] Men with men

* Gay pornography is usually male homosexual pornography, sometimes featuring actors that identify as straight (i.e. Gay-for-pay). Acts depicted typically include oral and anal sex.
* Bareback pornography features performers who are not wearing condoms.
* Bear pornography features large hairy men.
* Twink pornography features young-looking performers.

[edit] Women with women
Main article: Lesbianism in erotica: Lesbianism in contemporary pornography

* Lesbian or girl-girl pornography features women engaged in sex together, but is typically aimed at a male audience. Women who perform in lesbian pornography often do not consider themselves lesbian or bisexual. See also Gay-for-pay.
* Lesbian pornography made for women is usually made by women, and usually features women who identify as lesbian or bisexual. Lesbian pornography typically features a wider range of appearances and body types than is typical of mainstream pornography. Particularly, some pornography in this genre features butch women, who are almost never seen in mainstream pornography.

[edit] Multiple men and women

* Bisexual pornography features one woman and two men who all perform sex acts on each other. The pornography is geared towards men; hence the word "bisexual" describes the men rather than the woman.
* Threesome pornography features one man and two women who all perform sex acts on each other. It is geared towards heterosexual men, who would most typically define a threesome as such.
* Gang bang pornography usually depicts numerous men having sex with one woman, or one man. A scene where many women have sex with one submissive man is referred to as a "reverse gang-bang".

[edit] Transsexual people

* Transman pornography features performers who were born female and who medically transitioned to male. Buck Angel is the best-known example of this genre.
* Transsexual pornography features performers who were born male and who medically transitioned to female. They are most often featured with male co-stars, but sometimes are featured with other transsexuals or cisgendered women. Common phrases used to refer to these performers are "chicks with dicks" or "she-male", although these are generally considered pejorative among transwomen and in the queer community. Transsexual porn star Wendy Williams has stated that "transsexual Porn is classified as Straight Specialty."[2]
* Transgender pornography features performers who cross-dress for sexual gratification, either for themselves or for their partners, known as tranny chasers. Many men who like trans partners of any variety don't necessarily identify as gay themselves, even though the sex act is between two genetic males. This is why video stores might consider stocking transgendered subject matter in the straight section, as some straight men will have passive or active sex with another man as long as their partner appears to look like a woman to them, to some minor or major degree.

[edit] Reality

Reality pornography refers to real or faked 'amateur' encounters. This category also includes pornographic home movies. Related genres include:

* Amateur pornography was originally produced by amateurs. There is now also professionally made pornography designed to appear as if it were amateur.
* Celebrity sex tapes are amateur or professionally-made recordings of sex acts, as performed by a celebrity and their partner(s). These typically are leaked to the public via the Internet, without the celebrity's consent. A celebrity may allow such a recording to surface willingly, as part of a publicity stunt.
* Exhibitionist pornography features performers, usually female exposing themselves in public and spans simple flashing to public sex. The Girls Gone Wild series is one example.
* Gonzo pornography involves a first-person cameraman/performer perspective.
* Upskirt and Downblouse pornography features staged filming up women's skirts or down their blouses while in public. Actual upskirt or downblouse shots may violate privacy laws in some countries.
* Hidden Camera pornography involves shots that appear to spy or peep on a woman who is unaware she is being viewed or filmed while dressing or showering. Actual spying may violate privacy and/or trespassing laws in many countries. Voyeur pornography is usually more staged with the subjects aware of the cameras, sometimes openly including this exhibitionist awareness.

[edit] Specific sex acts

[edit] Anal

* Anal pornography features primarily male-male scenes and sometimes male-female anal sex scenes.
* Ass to mouth pornography shows the transfer of a performer's penis or object from another performer's anus to their mouth in a single shot.
* Gape shots in pornography feature scenes of anal sex with a focus on the recipient's anus "gaping".
* Pegging pornography features a woman penetrating a man with a strap-on dildo.
* Rimjob pornography centers around anilingus.

[edit] Other sex acts

* Double penetration (aka DP) pornography depicts simultaneous anal and vaginal penetration of one woman. Double Stuffed (aka DS) pornography involves the penetration of one orifice by two penises or other objects.
* Fisting pornography features the insertion of an entire hand into a performer's vagina or anus.
* Oral sex pornography usually features a person performing fellatio, it occasionally features cunnilingus.
* Solo pornography features performers masturbating.

[edit] Other categories

[edit] Computer-generated, interactive, and animated

* Cartoon pornography depicts illustrated or animated fictional characters in erotic or sexual situations.
* Hentai is a catch-all term for various forms of Japanese pornography, including H-manga, H-anime and H-computer games. The term hentai is never used in this context in Japanese. The meaning of hentai is "perversion", "abnormality", or "metamorphosis". Yaoi is anime or manga that features gay males (although not necessarily pornographic). Yuri is the lesbian equivalent.
* Interactive pornography, available in CD-ROM and DVD format, allows the viewer to select the particular acts performed at any one time, sometimes with the camera providing a first person view.
* Poser porn or Renderotica is pornography made using 3D computer graphics, usually with the 3D art program Poser, made to represent people in various sexual acts.

[edit] Miscellaneous

* Classics are pornographic films from the 1970s and sometimes 1980s.
* Compilations are a collection of short pornographic scenes, usually themed to a particular fetish such as anal or cum-shots, taken from otherwise unrelated films. (For copyright reasons, compilations are often limited to clips from films published by a single company.)
* Full-feature pornographic films are typically about two hours long, and usually have a plot.
* Parody Porn is a sub-genre that parodies the title to mainstream film or television show using sexual puns.
* Independent pornography is pornography produced by filmmakers unconnected to the major porn studios in a given country. It is often mislabled "amateur pornography", though the producers and actors are often professional pornographic filmmakers and actors. (It is not always easy to distinguish between genuine amateurs and unknown professionals: often, the distinction is a matter of timing.)
* Japanese adult video or JAV is pornography produced in Japan for domestic consumption, though it has a large international audience as well. JAV has a number of features that place it in a unique genre when compared to pornography produced in other countries. Notably, because of Japanese obscenity laws, most Japanese pornography videos and photographs include a "mosaic" that blocks the view of the performers genitalia. ("Uncensored" JAV is also produced, though illegally.) JAV has a diverse array of subgenres, many of which are the same as the subgenres in general pornography, however, there are also fetish and costume genres that are largely unique to the JAV milieu.
* Vintage erotica is generally pre-1970s pornography, especially early-Twentieth-Century black and white photographs and stag films.
* Extreme pornography is a term introduced by the UK Government, describing a classification of adult pornography that has become illegal to possess under new laws.
* Womens' Pornography refers to a category of porn that is expressly produced for female customers, taking into account that male and female receptive and aesthetic needs may differ widely. Sometimes that involves, that the director and/or producer are women. Frequently, there is a focus on certain dos and don'ts for the production process (behind the scenes and on-screen) and the actions portrayed.

1. cock ring

A constrictive interlocking device placed at the base of the penis, to prevent blood from escaping and to strengthen erection.
My roommate’s girlfriend was complaining that he was too soft, so I hooked him up with a cock ring for his birthday.

by Brown Sugar

2. cock ring

an elastic ring which fits around the base of the penis. It constricts the veins which drain blood from the penis, thereby strengthening an erection. Bought cheaply in automotive parts stores as “O-rings”, they are black in colour. Also available in sex shops which sell vibrators, condoms, etc. Also increases the sensation during ejaculation as it constricts the urethra.
I had been having trouble maintaining an erection with her, as I was very nervous. We had some wine, which helped, but then she cut the end out of a condom and rolled it backwards onto me, forming a cock ring at the base of my dick. After that, I had no problems.

by John R.

# A triple crown is a special cock-ring that has additional rings for restraining the testicles. In orgasm, the testicles usually retract toward the body before ejaculation. A triple crown changes and intensifies the sensation of orgasm by forcing the testicles to stay away from the body.

=======================================================

# A cock harness is a more elaborate harness designed to be worn around the penis and scrotum. Its function is similar to that of a cock ring. These devices are often associated with BDSM activities such as cock and ball torture.

======================================================

# A ball lock is an ordinary padlock fastened around the male scrotum, separating the testicles away from the penis and not removable except by key or combination.

======================================================

# A penis sleeve is a cylindrical device that is placed on the shaft of the penis, with the aim of increasing stimulation for the person being penetrated. They often have soft bumps intended to provide further stimulation.

========================================================

# A penis extension is a partially hollow device like a very short dildo, with the hollow end placed on the end of the penis, intended to increase the effective length of the penis, again for the benefit of the person being penetrated. These are generally worn with condoms to prevent them from falling off during use.

=======================================================

# A docking sleeve is a cylindrical device similar to a penis sleeve, but is open at both ends, so that two men can dock.
